Week 15 NFL Power Rankings

12 oz Power Rankings

Prev. Week
1
Denver Broncos
11-2
The best team in the AFC. I believe the best team in football. Anything short of a Super Bowl this year would be a disappointment for the Broncos.
2
2
Seattle Seahawks
11-2
A close loss to the 49ers, but still the class of the NFC. Only a monumental collapse would keep the Seahawks from home field advantage in the playoffs.
1
3
New Orleans Saints
10-3
Last week was a perfect storm of disaster for the Saints. They proved this week that they still will have something to say in the NFC before it is over.
3
4
Cincinnati Bengals
9-4
They keep creeping up the rankings and creeping up the AFC seedings. This team can win with offense or defense. This week the Bengals won with offense.
5
5
Kansas City Chiefs
10-3
They got back to their winning ways…it helps when you get to play the Redskins.
7
6
San Francisco 49ers
9-4
A good win for the 49ers, but the offense still concerns me and they are still in a dog fight for the playoffs (and 2nd place in their own division).
8
7
Carolina Panthers
9-4
After 8 straight wins, they were brought back to earth by a superior Saints team. The Panthers may be playoff worthy, but this division is still the Saints.
4
8
Philadelphia Eagles
8-5
Not sure we learned much from a game played in the South Pole. The Eagles won though.
9
9
New England Patriots
10-3
The Patriots needed a brain cramp on the onside kick and a phantom PI call to beat the Browns at home. This team is walking a tight rope and the loss of Gronk may be the last straw.
6
10
Arizona Cardinals
8-5
Don't look now, but the Cardinals are 1 game out of the playoffs and hold the tie-breaker over the Panthers.
11
11
Baltimore Ravens
7-6
Another phantom PI call and a boycott of 4th quarter defense allowed the Ravens to keep the upper hand in the race for the AFC 6 seed.
15
12
San Diego Chargers
6-7
Yes the Giants suck, but a 37-14 beat down of any NFL team is impressive - especially when the beat down is of a 2-time Super Bowl winning QB and coach.
17
13
Detroit Lions
7-6
Tough to learn anything from the "Snow Bowl" but the one thing I learned is that Aaron Rodgers has been out for 6 weeks now and GB finds themselves just .5 games back of Detriot.
13
14
Indianapolis Colts
8-5
Andrew Luck is good. His supporting cast is bad. With no defense, no running game and no legit receiving threat, the Colts are the weakest AFC playoof team at this point.
12
15
Chicago Bears
7-6
They looked impressive in their victory over Dallas, but Dallas has the 32nd ranked defense and is not accustomed to the cold…plus, Da Bears were not going to lose on Ditka Night!
16
16
Dallas Cowboys
7-6
No team is less deserving of the hype and coverage they receive than the Cowboys. If we are going to designate a team as "America's Team" in "America's Sport", can we pick one that is better than average?
10
17
Miami Dolphins
7-6
I was shocked to see the Dolphins win in the snow in Pittsburgh and they proved something to me - however, I am still proceeding with caution when it comes to the Dolphins.
23
18
Green Bay Packers
6-6-1
1-4-1 with Rodgers out, yet they are .5 game back of the division lead. If Rodgers comes back this week, I would have to put GB as the best team in the NFC North.
24
19
Tennessee Titans
5-8
The Titans have had a decent year, but they never were a playoff team. That dream came to an abrubt end in Denver on Sunday.
18
20
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
4-9
The Buccaneers are starting to look like the Buccaneers many thought they would see in 2013. No playoff contender wants to see the Bucs on their schedule in the last 3 weeks.
21
21
Saint Louis Rams
5-8
A few good games in 2013, but with NO, TB and Sea still remaining on their schedule, a 10+ loss season looks like a foregone conclusion.
14
22
Jacksonville Jaguars
4-9
The two hottest teams in football may be the Bucs and the Jags - teams that started a combined 0-16! Talk about things I did not see coming, the Jags are now 4-1 in their last 5!
28
23
Pittsburgh Steelers
5-8
With the wild card leaders at just 7-6, and 8-8 record could get the #6 seed, but is there anything about this Steelers team that makes you believe they can rattle off 3 in a row?
19
24
New York Giants
5-8
I believe my projected NFC East winner just finished off their playoff chances with the egg they laid in San Diego.
20
25
Minnesota Vikings
3-9-1
Scoring 2 TDs in 1:27 (without AP and your starting QB) is amazing! Giving up 3 TDs in 2:05 seconds is embarrassing beyond words.
25
26
Buffalo Bills
4-9
214 yards of offense and 5 turnovers. Wow. Just wow.
22
27
New York Jets
6-7
A win, at home, in inclement weather, against a West Coast team starting a 3rd string QB and without it's top WR and top 2 RBs is not going to move you up the rankings very far.
30
28
Oakland Raiders
4-9
Remember when this was one of the preeminent franchises? That is long gone. Few franchises seem as lost as the Raiders. They have 0 pieces to build around.
27
29
Cleveland Browns
4-9
The PI call was bad, but  let us not forget the call wouldn't have come about had the Browns not given up an 82 yard drive, botched the onside kick and surrender another TD…all within 2:39.
29
30
Washington Redskins
3-10
3-10 and now the coach is talking about benching the franchise QB for health considerations? If he was so concerned about his health, shouldn't he have not started him at the beginning of the year?
26
31
Atlanta Falcons
3-10
From NFC Championship and Super Bowl favorite to losing to Matt Flynn. Has a team ever fallen so far so fast?
31
32
Houston Texans
2-11
Speaking of falling far and falling fast - the Texans are now 2-11, their coach is out. Their starting QB is likely out. Not sure I can recall a more catastrophic season for a team.
